For the elevator to be comfortable, the elevator needs to accelerate slowly, which involves the problem of motor speed regulation:
1. Other speed regulation methods, such as series resistance speed regulation: it reduces the voltage inside the motor by connecting a resistor in series, and realizes the reduction of the speed. The disadvantage is that a certain amount of energy will be consumed on the series resistance;
2. There is no such situation with the inverter. It directly controls the output frequency and voltage to drive the motor, and there is no additional consumption.
Routine maintenance
The application of frequency converters has been extended from common fans and pumps to food, beverages, logistics, buildings, etc., constantly opening up new energy-saving fields, and its functions have also been improved and diversified. On the one hand, it is fully digital and has complete functions. Adaptive and self-tuning technology for load changes, especially distributed high-end inverters with communication, networking functions and integrated PLC; on the other hand, simple or industry-specific inverters and mechatronics and miniaturized inverters. In addition, high-voltage and medium-voltage frequency converters have also grown considerably due to the advent of new high-voltage power electronics.
If the inverter is usually maintained, the failure rate of the inverter can be greatly reduced:
1. The temperature in the electrical room of the elevator should not be too high, otherwise the components of the inverter will be easily aged. It is best to install an air conditioner, and the consequences will be quite good;
2. Prevent the rain from getting wet, usually when a typhoon blows, the windows and doors are damaged by the wind and the inverter is exposed to rain;
3. Lightning protection, this is related to the lightning protection facilities of the whole building or all communities, and the inverters struck by lightning are individually damaged;
4. The cooling fan of the inverter should be cleaned regularly. The maintenance method of the inverter adopts two methods: online voltage detection and DC resistance measurement.
5. The abnormal noise of the elevator motor is usually caused by a problem with the inverter. If the three-phase current of the motor is unbalanced, it is best to repair it. When the inverter is not complete, the damage may be more serious.
